The O-Shot has been shown to help correct mild urinary incontinence in women allowing them to have surgery- free dryness. Up until now the choices for helping with urinary incontinence was to either use panty liners or to undergo a more invasive procedure called a vaginal “sling”. The O-Shot is a simple procedure using one’s owns concentrated platelets also called platelet rich plasma (PRP) that is placed strategically near the urinary continence mechanism. This is performed as an in office procedure with little to no discomfort.

O-Shot® Benefits
What is urinary stress incontinence?
Urinary incontinence is the inability to control one’s bladder. Over 13 million women in the US suffer from urinary incontinence. This can be due to a few reasons which include stress urinary incontinence and urge incontinence. Stress incontinence occurs usually after coughing, sneezing, laughing or any type of abdominal pressure. Urge incontinence occurs mostly because of abnormal signals to the bladder which causes one to feel like they have to urinate immediately.
The O-SHOT works by supporting your urinary continence mechanism. Allowing you to have drier days and to avoid invasive surgery.
How does the O-shot work for treating urinary stress incontinence?
Our bodies have a remarkable capacity to heal themselves. Regeneration of new tissue is accomplished by the natural production of stem cells. PRP involves concentrated platelets, rich in bioactive proteins, which release growth factors to stimulate cellular regeneration and accelerate tissue repair. The benefits of PRP were initially used in wound healing, dentistry and the treatment of sports injuries, but now have evolved to address aesthetic concerns, sexual wellness/dysfunction, overactive bladder and urinary incontinence. PRP is one of the most advanced, effective natural treatments for cellular repair AND rejuvenation throughout the body.
The O-spot is a collection of nerves very close to the urethral gland at the opening of the urethra. Platelets and growth factors in the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) activate stem cells called unipotent cells triggering the vaginal, urethral and clitoral tissues to regenerate and recover their youthful potential. Circulation to the area increases as well as nerve regrowth. PRP stimulates the woman’s own stem cells to regenerate and repair urethral damage and weakness.
The O-Shot, using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), can successfully treat urinary incontinence.
Many women experience relief from incontinence in the first few weeks after treatment and continue to improve in the following 2 months. Occasionally another treatment is necessary for more complete resolution
